Software increases companies’ supply chain transparency

Deforestation monitoring on Sourcemap

Mercy Investment Services’ shareholder advocacy engagements have long addressed company supply chains, including forced labor, human trafficking and responsible sourcing. Now, an investment through Mercy’s Environmental Solutions Fund is increasing companies’ transparency of their supply chains.

Sourcemap provides supply chain transparency and traceability software to help companies create more sustainable supply chains that are best in class as it pertains to forced labor prevention, avoidance of conflict minerals, counter-terrorism, anti-greenwashing, deforestation and more. The software tracks suppliers for companies, increasing companies’ transparency while fulfilling reporting requirements for supplier due diligence regulations such as the California Supply Chain Transparency Act, UK Modern Slavery Act, and Conflict Minerals Reporting. Sourcemap recently expanded to include the Forced Labor Due Diligence Solution, which helps companies monitor their supply chain in real time for human rights violations across numerous sectors. Currently, 5,000 companies use Sourcemap, which Time magazine recently named one of the best innovations of 2022 in the Social Good category.

Sourcemap is one of several innovative investments in Mercy Investment Services’ Environmental Solutions Fund, which spans sustainable agriculture, water and cleantech. Learn more about the fund on our website
