Sisters of Mercy Chapter receives Mercy Investment Services update, elects new leadership

Every six years, the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas hold Chapter – the Institute’s highest authority when in session – to set direction and elect leadership for the coming years. Bryan Pini and Katie McCloskey were invited to present an update on Mercy Investment Services, particularly related to the ministry’s response to the Chapter 2017 call “to intensify our efforts to align our investments with our values” related to extractives. The presentation was very well received, and the Chapter delegates applauded Mercy Investment Services’ efforts.

During their time together, the Sisters of Mercy also elected a new Institute Leadership Team, which will take office in August. These five Sisters, who also serve as the Members in Mercy Investment Services’ two-tiered governance structure, are:

Sue Sanders, RSM, president
Pat Flynn, RSM, vice-president
Terri Bednarz, RSM, councilor
Judith Frikker, RSM, councilor
Maureen King, RSM, councilor

Please join us in praying for these sisters as they prepare for their new ministry!
