Pat Zerega retires from Mercy Investment Services

Pat Zerega, senior director of shareholder advocacy, has been a pillar of Mercy Investment Services’ shareholder advocacy program, tirelessly advocating for human rights and equity. After 12 years, Pat recently retired from Mercy Investment Services.

Pat has been a leader and a mentor in the faith-based investor community, focusing on human rights and human trafficking. She was instrumental in partnerships with Truckers Against Trafficking and hotel chains, resulting in thousands of truck drivers and hotel staff receiving critical training to identify and report human trafficking victims. Pat has also been a voice for workers’ rights, fair pay and equitable benefits. Her concern for Earth drove engagements on community impacts of mining, collaborating with Sisters of Mercy in Peru to bring their concerns to the mining companies operating in their communities. Her leadership extended beyond Mercy to the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility and other organizations, serving on the board of directors and sharing her expertise with those new to socially responsible investing.

Pat’s deep sense of mission and her wisdom will be missed as she retires from Mercy Investment Services. We wish her all the best as she starts this new chapter with her husband, sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren.
