Mercy Investment Services and other faith-based investors gathered in mid-March for the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility’s (ICCR) annual spring conference. Mercy staff explored and collaborated on various topics impacting shareholder advocacy:

  • Frontline workers from Amazon, Dollar General, and Walmart shared their experiences advocating for worker justice and provided insight on workplace issues shareholders must consider when speaking to companies.
  • ICCR members held numerous discussions emphasizing the importance of embedding stakeholders’ insights and interests into every engagement, with a focus on Indigenous peoples, frontline workers, and consumers.
  • Mercy staff served on the Big Tech and Disinformation panel including sharing Mercy Investment Services’ work with Meta concerning protecting digital rights.
  • Mercy staff co-moderated a panel discussing the use of semiconductors in drone warfare and research on Russian drones utilizing American-sold parts.

Mercy Investment Services values the collaborations and experiences at ICCR and will continue to bring the learnings from this conference to Mercy’s more than 200 shareholder engagements.
