Please join us in congratulating Donna Meyer, who recently received the Fr. Mike Crosby Award from the Seventh Generation Interfaith Coalition for Responsible Investment. The award honors “a person who has promoted a more just and sustainable world and exemplifies the passion and commitment of our founder, Michael Crosby, O.F.M., Cap.” You can view a short video of the award presentation here.
Donna retired from Mercy Investment Services in July 2021 after almost 10 years as director of shareholder advocacy. Her engagements with companies spanned a range of health-related issues including health impacts of chemicals and nutrition. She co-founded the Investors for Opioid Accountability (now IOPA) and was instrumental in the coalition’s work with major opioid manufacturers, distributors, and retail pharmacies on gaps in governance and oversight, leading to companies pulling back pay from executives, producing public reports on their board oversight of opioid-related risks, and instituting oversight committees.
