Hope Enterprise Corporation (HOPE), a longtime Mercy Partnership Fund investee and part of a family of development organizations dedicated to strengthening communities, building assets and improving lives in the Deep South, has long played a leading role in addressing the systemic barriers that Black families and business owners face in building wealth. HOPE programs have generated or leveraged more than $3.6 billion in financing that has benefitted more than 2 million residents in one of the nation’s most persistently poor regions.
