battery system in Nigeria

Through its investment in Starsight, Mercy Investment Services is helping provide clean, reliable, affordable energy in Nigeria through the installation of solar-diesel-battery hybrid systems. According to the World Bank, only 59% of Nigerians had access to electricity in 2016. Those who do have access to power face an inconsistent, unreliable power grid, which experienced an average of 33 power outages a month in 2014. The frequency of blackouts forces corporations to rely on environmentally dirty diesel generators that cost three to six times what grid consumers pay across the world. The hybrid system enables businesses to store green energy and offers its customers a power cost savings of approximately 20%, while reducing CO2 emissions from existing diesel generators and greenhouse gases by approximately 75% per site.
